When I set up LEO Consult, a staff management institute, in 2000 I specialized in the further training of executives, team development, coaching and recruiting. I work with national and international clients; both medium-sized firms and companies like Daimler, Fiat Group, msx international and IMD. At the same time I lecture at the Goethe Business School in the University of Frankfurt/Main, focusing on the development of leadership skills and intercultural dialogue.
In addition to my university qualifications (1st and 2nd state examination) from Bonn and Boston University (USA) I trained for several years in Humanistic Psychology. I work on the basis of Transactional Analysis (TA) and systemic analysis and have an international Reteaming Coach certificate (Certified International Reteaming Coach - Brief Therapy Institute Helsinki, Finland).
I began my professional career by working successfully in a medium-sized firm for ten years, including its start-up stage. Then I worked for three years at an Institute of Change Management in Cologne, where I was part of a team that ran workshops and implemented change projects for large companies in Germany. Since 2000 I have been assisting large and medium-sized enterprises throughout Germany and Europe with my own consultancy firm, Leoconsult.
I focus on developing leadership skills in management teams, coaching executives, team development, analyses of skill and potential, and recruiting.
I have been lecturing since 2007 at the Goethe Business School in the University (GBS) of Frankfurt, responsible as Co-Program Director for the “Leading to Excellence” program of the CDB (China Development Bank). The two-week leadership program for the management of the large Chinese bank is run several times a year. I also lecture on team development in the GBS “Executive Master of Finance and Accounting” (EMFA) Master’s program.
In addition to these duties I regularly coach executives at the IMD (International Institute for Management Development) in Lausanne, Switzerland, where I belong to the HPL – High-Performance Leadership – program team led by Prof. George Kohlrieser.
